The Challenge
Mojitobar, a popular Florida-based bar, was looking for creative solutions to encourage their team to drive sales. In particular they were looking to increase sales of drink size upgrades and sales of their specialty Tiki drinks.
While they had tried traditional incentive programs in the past, they struggled to keep employees motivated over time. They needed a platform that would:
- Engage their staff in a way that felt fun and rewarding
- Encourage upselling without adding complexity to their operations
- Simplify tracking and rewarding employee performance
Mojitobar knew that creating a culture of friendly competition and recognition was the key to success, but they needed the right tools to make it happen.
The Approach
Mojitobar decided to implement the SocialCrowd employee incentive platform to motivate employees to sell drink size upgrades and Tiki drinks. SocialCrowd leveraged the data from their SkyTab POS to seamlessly track employee performance, automatically updating progress in real time. Employees received reminders via text and email, keeping them informed and motivated as they worked toward their goals, and were rewarded when they were met, creating positive reinforcement.
In SocialCrowd, Mojitobar designed two incentive campaigns where employees could earn between $10-$30 for every 50-150+ upgrades to 24 oz drinks and sales of Tiki drinks. This structure made it simple for staff to understand exactly what they needed to achieve and how they would be rewarded, which increased buy-in from the team.
